This may be a bit repetitive since there are several posts about screen time, and the responses to those posts may eventually answer my question I'm sharing here.
So I need a bit of help. My niece is often glued to her phone and seems a bit unhappy because of it. My niece does turn it in at night when she goes to bed and my sister's ex-husband does have parental controls on my niece's phone to monitor some things but he's in another state and doesn't do much to help my niece reduce her screen time. My sister doesn't want to be the bad guy because of the divorce and she can't really take the phone away either because that restricts her ex-husband's access to communicate with my niece. So what can my sister do to help her teen want to not spend hours in front of her phone screen without making my niece feel like she is being punished or treated unfairly?
🙏 Totally open to what ever suggestions anyone has so this favorite uncle and help his favorite sister with what feels like a huge challenge. 😇
