We're sorry to hear you're experiencing some trouble with the MMS messaging feature on your Gabb Phone 4. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help with this:
- Ensure that Photo Messaging (MMS) is
enabledon your plan:- Log into your MyAccount at
Gabb.com - Scroll to the line and look under
Plan Details - Make sure your plan is a
StandardorAdvancedplan type as they support MMS (group/image texting). OurStarterplan doesnotsupport MMS.
- Log into your MyAccount at
Resetin the Settings on Gabb Phone 4:- Open Settings App -> System -> Reset Options ->
Reset Wifi & Bluetooth - Open Settings App -> System -> Reset Options -> Reset App Preferences ->
Reset Apps - Open Settings App -> System -> Reset Options ->
RESET SETTINGS
- Open Settings App -> System -> Reset Options ->

I tried all these steps and my son still can’t send MMS. We even took the sim card out and put it back in then powered on the phone. I’m really disappointed we can’t send photos or group messages.

Since the phone was activated a month ago it will not receive or send multimedia messages. I have group chatted twice now to try to resolve it and nothing works. This last agent was super helpful but after an hour and a 1/2, the final resolution after trying everything else was to wait a week and chat again that the tech department claims it's a "recent issue" that they're working on fixing. Has anyone else had this problem? Im about to give up on Gabb and just kid my child a phone under my mobile plan with a nanny app.

2 Gabb 4 phones CANNOT send or receive pictures. One can do video calling. The other cannot. Both plans include theses features. However...after Endless contact with customer service over and over...no satisfaction. I have tried EVERYTHING. Obviously the phones are defective as there are many complaints. So...what now?? I continue to pay for a plan that does not give features? I do not want the less expensive plan that does not have music and video and sending an receiving pictures. Help please.

our phone was activated yesterday and I’ve tried to text pictures to the phone, but they don’t go thru. On my end it doesn’t show an error. Any tips?

Tip for other parents: I was told to put the phone in Airplane mode and then use the wifi. Lo and behold…group and MMS messaging then worked! It’s totally a bug and it needs to be fixed ASAP.

I have done this, but it only works to send MMS not to receive one.

Thank you for that tip. I switched to airplane mode and it was able to send/receive group texts and pictures. I really hope they get this fixed soon as I am paying for this feature and shouldn't have to find a work around.

I tried putting the phone on airplane mode with wifi on and image and group texting works that way. Super weird!

Same issue. Brand new phone. Have done all of the troubleshooting steps. Really deserve a credit for this... a T Mobile plan costs less, the only point of paying Gabb is to have a phone with restrictions you don't have to troubleshoot, but it's completely worthless when basic things like MMS don't work. Needs to be resolved ASAP.

Same issue. Really disappointing as we upgraded from the Gabb Watch to the phone so my daughter wouldn't be left out of group conversations, and now it doesn't work. My T Mobile line is less expensive, the whole point is for this to be easy to manage and it clearly is not.

I was just chatting with Customer Service on another issue and I mentioned this. They said it is being fixed and "an update is coming next week (fingers crossed)". So hopefully we will see something soon!

We just received my daughter's Gabb Phone 4 today and are having the same problem. It will not send or receive images. We were able to work around it by turning airplane mode on and connecting to wi-fi, but this is obviously not ideal. Please fix ASAP.

I just set up my daughters phone and cannot receive mms unless in airplane mode and connected to WiFi. I really hope this gets resolved soon or we receive a credit on our account considering we are paying for a service we are not getting.

Same issue. Very frustrated. Got this phone for my daughter for Christmas and now I won't even be able to give it to her. Messaging only works when connected to WiFi. Been on the phone with Customer Support for over 2 hours in total.

Just wanna bump this and say our new phone is also experiencing this same problem. No messages or MMS when mobile data is active. They will only send if on airplane mode.

Same issue here. Making me regret my choice to go with Gabb. The main reason we went with a phone instead of a watch was to share pictures while my daughter is away at a camp. Can't contact customer support today because christmas (which is totally understandable) but this better be resolved ASAP

my daughter just got her 4s for Christmas and can’t send or receive pictures. Super frustrating since I’m paying for this feature. Anyone have resolutions?

Just another new Gabb 4 phone user without the ability to send or receive images unless in airplane mode with WiFi on. Tried all the troubleshooting tips without success. Clearly this is a broader issue that needs to be resolved as soon as humanly possible. We are paying for a service and not getting it. Not to mention…..my child is very unimpressed with her new Christmas gift since she can’t even send photos to her friends.

only thing that works is on airplane and WiFi to send images or videos or even do group chats

gave my daughter her Gabb phone4 today. Also no group texts or images. Airplane Mode and WIFI worked. But that won’t work when she is not in the house as she won’t have WiFi out and about.

just got my son Gabb 4 phone. He cannot receive images on texts or be in group texts? Is this issue being worked on or updated??

Same issue. Commenting so Gabb knows it's still a widespread problem. They should at least offer a credit for the period we aren't receiving the service paid for. I'm considering canceling and getting my daughter a phone/line on my mobile carrier plan. 😞

We are having the same issue! Can't send or receive images, just tried the airplane mode and it works but obviously not a permanent solution. Also can't add pictures to contacts on Gabb 4 or the allowed apps. Very frustrating for sure! Hopefully solutions coming soon???

We’ve upgraded our son’s phone to the Pro 4 for Christmas and now it does nothing. All troubleshooting tried and not working.

Hey! I just activated my daughters gabb 4 phone
With the $29 plan.. and I can't figure out how to get photos to her, I've been trying all day. But photos i send will not go through to her.

My son’s new Gabb 4 can’t send or receive pictures, nor can it participate in family group texts. Two reasons we got the phone- for him to participate in family communications. Any luck out there?!!

Same issue here on two different Gabb Phone4s. Cannot send or receive photos, or group texts. Airplane + Wifi works but is not a solution. The problem needs to be fixed and account credits need to be issued. Waiting on you Gabb Support…

Yet another disappointed parent with a new phone for kiddo with no SMS capabilities despite paying more for that plan.
Seriously, Gabb, I could have gotten a new iPhone w our family plan for less money but opted for Gabb for the "convenience." This is anything but convenient for one of the 3 basic functions to not work.

Here with the exact same issue. Got my daughter the gabb 4 for Christmas because her gabb 3 watch completely stopped working and customer support was absolutely no help. Still under contract, so I figured I’d use that up and get the phone instead. She tried to send a picture today and it didn’t work.
The airplane mode/wifi work around fixed it, but I really hope there’s an actual fix soon

I wanted to do video calling with my daughter's new phone I just got a week ago and it only works when the phone is connected to my wifi, I want it to work when she is not at home, so I can see her at her dad's house. I just upgraded the plan and they said after I turn the phone on and off it would work and now I just checked and the phone won't send pics just like the others are saying in this post. I hope it fixes soon maybe after the holidays. I'm trying the airplane mode thing now too. Gonna try sending with wifi and without. It takes like 5-10 min for it to decide the send failed though and I have no option to cancel the send except to delete the entire conversation. Which I am about to try.

I just got it to send and receive images and video call doing the airplane mode and then clicking to enable wifi which is weird, but only while she is connected to my wifi. Not cool. I need to be able to communicate with her while she is at her dad in "no wifi" land. He has no internet in his home. She has the Gabb phone 4.

I cannot make regular phone calls off on airplane mode, so I cannot keep her phone in airplane mode to do mms (pics). And I don't know if it will still work if my phone is connected to a different wifi, maybe no wifi. I'm trying that next.
