I was able to use a neighbors wifi, so I can talk to my children at their father's place until this issue with the pics and using airplane mode + wifi is resolved.

Another customer with the same issues- not being able to send/receive pictures via text, or participate in group texts. Very frustrating. Looking forward to Gabb resolving this.

same. Unable to send group messages or photos/images without being on airplane mode and connected to WiFi. Very disappointing. GABB needs to resolve this immediately

New phone does not send or receive photos, videos, GIFS. I expect a date that this will be corrected or a refund by 1/10/2025.

Any update on the issue with texting pictures and also correcting the map feature so it doesn't default to the Gabb warehouse in Utah?

having same issues as all the others. No group text, can’t send or receive pictures and videos unless on airplane mode and connected to WiFi. Also tried to call customer service several times and haven’t been able to get through. Very frustrating to pay for a service we aren’t able to utilize.

Yeah, same issues here. Airplane mode work but that's not a fix to this issue. I'm REALLY disappointed in Gabb, bout ready to cancel and demand a refund.

My son is also having the same problem. I bought the Gabb 4 phone in early December 2024. I've done all the trouble shooting steps including the factory reset and contacted customer service as well. I just tried the airplane mode that someone commented above and my test message with a picture was sent. First picture and group message sent in over a month! This is a temporary fix but he needs his phone on and connected or else the GPS location on my parent app will not work. This is not a solution in any way. It just creates another problem. Please let me know when there is an update.

I have the standard plan which is supposed to include images and group texts, but they won't come through (Gabb4 phone) and I can't find any settings anywhere. This is our first child to get a phone and based on how hard it is to find support I'm not sure if we will continue. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Whenever I am on the receiving end of a text with a photo in it I get a download failed message. Even if I am connected to fast WiFi and a solid cell signal.
I have already:
- Restarted the Gabb phone
- Checked my account to make sure I have Standard service and I do
- Went through the settings as best I could to try to allow it
How do I fix this? Thanks!

We have great news! As of 1/17/2025, we have released an update to all Gabb Phones to help resolve the error causing MMS messaging to fail.
How to Update:
*This update will happen automatically if the device is connected to wifi and connected to power overnight. To update manually, follow these steps:- Navigate to Settings.
- Scroll to the very bottom to System Update
- Click Check for Updates If Thank you to each one of you for reporting this error as it greatly helped the investigation into this bug.
- If you experience this error after following these steps, please reach out to our Customer Support to report this. They can be contacted by Live-Chat through www.gabb.com, or by phone call at 385.235.6646 Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m., MT or Saturday from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. MT.

New update just dropped on Gabb Phone 4. It resolved the problem for both of our phones.

I was the original creator of this post. My son just updated his phone and now the MMS messaging works. He can send photos and make group texts on solely a cell signal now. Thanks Reagan and the Gabb dev team!
