Hello,

The Mygabb app on child's phone doesn't display the QR code to register a guardian contact.

When I go into my child's phone - MyGabb app - It says "Let's Go." When I click the "Let's Go" button it closes the app. I don't see anywhere else to click in the app to show the QR code to register a guardian contact.

Phone is up to date

App is up to date - mygabb

Phone has been restarted

Child's phone has been synced.

    Hi @binki1193,

    Great question! Sorry for any confusion with the Guardian Contact. There is no need to scan the QR code on the Gabb Phone for the Guardian Contact. Here is information on how to add a Guardian Contact to help clarify the process.

    Follow these steps to add a guardian contact to your child’s Gabb device:

    1. Log in to the MyGabb app on the primary parent’s smartphone.
    2. Select the hamburger icon in the upper-right corner.
    3. Select Contacts.
    4. Select the blue plus sign in the bottom-right corner, then select Create Guardian Contact.
    5. Fill out the guardian’s profile information.
    6. Select the children you want the guardian to view the location for by selecting the check mark next to your child’s name in the Allow the guardian to view these kids’ locations section.
    7. Select Save.

    After you add the guardian’s information in your MyGabb app, they must check their email and accept the invitation, then log in to the MyGabb app on their smartphone using their credentials. They’ll then be able to view your child’s GPS location from their MyGabb app.

    The guardian will need to create their own profile for the MyGabb app using the email address specified when you added the guardian contact. They should use their email address & password to log in to the MyGabb app. You can find more information on this process in our Help Article HERE👈

    Hello,

    On the primary parent smart phone - hamburger icon - All I see is "Gabb Watch - Contacts." Even though I have a Gabb phone for my child, it says "watch" above contacts. Should that be "phone" instead? Under devices I see a phone number and a picture of a phone and the phone is getting the contacts, but why does it say watch?

    Thank you for your response! It sounds like your MyGabb app could use an update or your MyAccount could use a sync. Here are the steps on how to do this:

    1. Update MyGabb App:
      1. Delete app then redownload it
    2. MyAccount Sync:
      1. Contact Customer Support by Live-Chat through www.gabb.com, or by phone call at 385.235.6646 Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m-6:30 p.m., MT or Saturday from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. MT.

    Contacts still showing under Gabb Watch after deleting and adding the mygabb app.

    What should I be seeing instead?

    Can you perform an account sync?
