This is a good question!
Do you have the "Parent-Managed" contacts feature enabled? The activation code text message will not receive to the Gabb phone if that feature is enabled as this feature blocks any texts from being received to the device that are not approved contacts.
To get round this , temporarily select "Child-Managed" in your Gabb Messenger app on your parent phone. Follow the prompted steps to sync the Gabb phone, then go through the steps in Venmo again. You will receive the text after following these steps.
Once you finish setting up Venmo, you can switch back to the "Parent-Managed" option in the Gabb Messenger app. Hope this helps!
