How do I restrict calls and texts, incoming or outgoing to Contacts?
I don't want anyone calling in or out on the phone unless they are in Contacts. I want to limit who can add anyone to Contacts.

So sorry to hear about this experience you've had with your Gabb Phone 4. I can assure you that Contact management via Gabb Messenger for parents does apply to texts and calls on the Gabb Phone 4, Gabb Phone 3 Pro, and Gabb Phone 4 Pro.
@Maggie is correct that our Customer Support does have several troubleshooting steps that can help find what might be causing your device to act differently. Before contacting them, here are a few troubleshooting steps to try first:
- Ensure your Gabb Messenger Parent app is up to date.
- Check for updates in the App Store/Google Play Store.
- Delete and redownload the app.
- Turn Contact Management off and back on:
- Select "Child-Managed" > follow the prompted syncing steps > Select Parent-Managed > follow the prompted syncing steps. (steps if needed: Settings > Troubleshooting > Sync Settings in Messenger on your kids phone)

Reagan, this is not helpful when it comes to calls. Kids have been calling my son’s Gabb phone 4 without being on his approved contact list. Some of the kids are not kids I would allow contacting my son. Bullies, predators, etc are able to call my child without being on his approved contact list. This needs to be changed ASAP!!!! It’s not safe for children. The messaging blocker is good, but it also needs to extend to calls.

I am furious that my child can receive calls from numbers not in his contact list. We chose the phone for the apparent safety. It is not safe. He can receive calls from any unknown number. Some of these calls have not been good and have caused mental health issues. There needs to be an option to ONLY allow calls in or out from approved contacts. This is what the watch allows, so I know Gabb has the tech for it. We had the watches for my kids for years and wanted to upgrade to the phone for music and privacy when he calls us. Now I am EXTREMELY disappointed very quickly in the lack of safety this phone gives my child.

hey @LizzySharp this might be an issue just on your device because I've never had an issue with this on my childs phone. When I have parent managed selected in my app, calls don't come through. I know that their support has some steps you can do in the settings or something that might be able to help? Just a thought. I hope it starts working for you!
