Expedite an App request

I've been waiting patiently for over 2 1/2 months for my app requests to be addressed. Today my doctor asked me to add an investigational medication tracker app to the phone… if it's going to take over two months to hear anything back we will not be able to receive this medical treatment. The app is INFORMUS (formerly STUDY KICK). Any idea what the average wait time is for requested apps to be approved or denied? Is there any way to determine progress on these requests?
