If I reset the watch, will data be saved under GabbID?

Watch says it’s offline so it will not show location. Everything else works (calls, texts, sounds, etc). I’ve updates apps, updated the system, turned the watch off and back on, deleted and reloaded the gabb app on my phone. I have 2 watches. One shows online and the other shows offline. If I reset the offline watch, will my son lose all of his data? Anyone else have the offline issue?

    Hello @Kkacic11,

So sorry to hear you are having trouble with the GPS on your Gabb Watch 3. Apologies for any frustration, we understand how important this feature is. The troubleshooting steps you have listed are a great way to start the troubleshooting:

    1. Updating the Software:
      1. Connect Gabb Watch to WiFi by going to the settings app
      2. Open the ID app on the watch
      3. TapUpdate Apps until the screen says "Apps are up to date!" You may need to tap the button multiple times. This may take several minutes to finish.
      4. Turn the watch off by holding down the power button for 4 seconds, select the power off icon on the watch screen, wait 15 seconds, then hold the power button for another 4 seconds to turn the watch back on.
    2. Update the Firmware:
      1. Place watch on charger. Watch must be charged to at least 30% before updating
      2. Open the Check for Updates app (shown below)
      3. Tap the update button. The watch will automatically restart when the update is done.
    3. Power cycle reset to the Gabb Watch 3:
      1. Hold the power button down for 4 seconds > Select the power off icon on the watch screen > Wait 15 seconds > Hold the power button for another 4 seconds to turn the watch back on
    4. Delete and Re-Download the MyGabb App:
      1. This helps ensure that the MyGabb app is on the most recent update
    5. Lastly, unpair and pair back to the Gabb Watch 3:
      1. Unpair: MyGabb app > Devices > Profile > Remove Device
      2. Pair: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your parent smartphone > Once the MyGabb app detects the watch via Bluetooth, select your Gabb Watch 3 > Click “Confirm and Connect” > Once your device is connected, click “Next”.

When you unpair and pair back to the Gabb Watch as a troubleshooting step, the device goes through a factory reset. This will cause the data on the device to delete. At this time, this data is not backed up to the Gabb ID.

If you continue to see an issue with the GPS after following these steps, our amazing Customer Support team can further troubleshoot by preforming a Network Reset before moving forward with unpairing and pairing back to the device. It looks like you are currently working with one of our Support agents to get this troubleshooted. Thank you for working with our team to get this resolved!
