HELP! Why is my watch constantly flashing a white screen?

Brand new Gabb 3 watch is flashing white screen and we are unable to access anything on the watch. Forced a factory reset - that did nothing. This is brand new and very frustrating!!!!!!!

    1. Soft Reset to the Gabb Watch 3:
      1. Select the power off icon on the watch screen
      2. Wait 15 seconds
      3. Hold the power button for another 4 seconds to turn the watch back on
    2. Hard reset (Factory Reset) on the Gabb Watch 3
      1. On the MyGabb App: Unpair the watch
        • Select the "Devices" tab
        • Select "Profile" on the watch you need to unpair
        • Scroll to the bottom of the profile and select "Remove Device"
        • Select "Remove and Reset"
      2. On the Watch: Factory Reset the watch
        • Place the watch on the charger
        • Press the back button (top right button) 10 times fast
        • Select the checkmark on the watch
        • The watch will power off, factory reset, then power back on when it’s finished
        • Pair back to the watch
    3. App Update on the Gabb Watch 3:
      1. Connect Gabb Watch to WiFi by going to the settings app
      2. Open the ID app on the watch
      3. Tap Update Appsuntil the screen says "Apps are up to date!" You may need to tap the button multiple times. This may take several minutes to finish.
      4. Turn the watch off by holding down the power button for 4 seconds, select the power off icon on the watch screen, wait 15 seconds, then hold the power button for another 4 seconds to turn the watch back on.
    4. System Update on the Gabb Watch 3:
      1. Place watch on charger. Watch must be charged to at least 30% before updating
      2. Open the Check for Updates app (shown below)
      3. Tap the update button. The watch will automatically restart when the update is done.

    We are having the exact same issue with our Gabb watch flashing a white screen when "on." We are not able to access anything on the watch - can't call it and it won't receive messages. The above helpful tips don't work for us because we can't access anything. I tried to do a factory reset, and nothing. Just a white screen.

    Help!!! It's Christmas Day and this was the one thing my 7 year old asked for from Santa and it's not working!!! First off, we ordered a silver watch not black! They send us black! And then tried to set up watch thinking they can just send us a silver band, but the watch is defective. Display screen is dim and flickering in and out!!! Will not set up! I've spent an hour doing resets, and still nothing!!! This needs to be rectified very quickly! How can they send us this piece of junk!! It's gotta be a refurbished watch!! Shocked that this was his main Christmas gift and it won't work!!! Please reach out to me and let me know how to get our correct watch that I ordered!

    My daughter's watch is doing the same thing now.

    I was forced to factory reset, due to network connectivity problems. And now the screen just flashes white and then goes black. I'm unable to access any apps, before the white screen flashes again, then fades to black.

    My daughter’s watch worked fine for a while but now continues to flash and reset on the Home Screen. It will show up, then blink and flash and reset again like it’s crashing. I’ve confirmed, as difficult as it is to use the menus with the constant resetting, that it’s using the latest software and latest apps. My daughter does not want to use this because of the instability and we are not even halfway through the contract!


    Please help. I’m attaching a video of the behavior.

    Hi @ReaganKowal,

    We did a factory reset (removed from parent app, did 10xback/confirm). It worked fine for a while. Then later that day I sent some modified text message templates from my gabb phone app, and suddenly it self reset again!

    Now I have done the reset once more, and have done very little from the adult side (added one additional contact, and 3 safe zones) and it seems stable so far.

    Is it possible that adding from the gabb parent phone app would do this? Or is it a sign of a hardware issue?
