Speaker stopped working

We have a Gabb phone Z2. Today my daughter was listening to a recorded file and the speaker stopped working. The phone does not make any sound. You can still talk on the phone, but the ringer, sounds, video sounds, recorded sounds, speaker phone, etc. do not work. Any suggestions?

    Hello @Brandi,

    Sorry to hear your speaker stopped working on your Gabb Phone Z2! Here are some troubleshooting steps to help:

    1. Resets in Settings on Gabb Phone:
      1. Open Settings App > System > Reset Options > Reset Wifi & Bluetooth
      2. Open Settings App > System > Reset Options > Reset App Preferences -> Reset Apps
      3. Open Settings App > System > Reset Options > RESET SETTINGS
    2. Check for Water Damage (Gabb Phone Z2 only):
      1. Remove the back of the phone
      2. Take out the battery and any micro SD card
      3. Check the side of the battery with the gold connector plates
        1. You will see small rectangle section that should be white with red dots - the rectangle will be red if there is water damage.
      4. Check the uncovered section where the micro SD can can be inserted
        1. You will see a small circle that should be white with red dots - the circle will be red if there is water damage.

    If those steps don't help and you're paying for an extended warranty plan you can process an extended warranty claim by contacting our Support Team. Our devices also have a manufacture warranty that is good for 12 months from time of purchase. They do not cover damages from drops, spills etc. Most of our Gabb Phone Z2s are outside of the 1 year manufacturer warranty at this point.

    You can also get a discount on a new device like a Gabb Phone 4 or Gabb Phone 4 Pro through our upgrade program anytime. If you've completed a contract or are month to month and have been with us for more than a year, you can get a free device upgrade for signing up for a 2 year contract. If you're still in contract or haven't been with Gabb for a year, you can still upgrade at anytime and get a discount. To upgrade your device:

    1. Login to you Gabb Account at gabb.com/account from a computer
    2. Click "Upgrade" on the left hand side
    3. Select the device you want to upgrade and pick a new device
