Thank you for your post! So sorry to hear you were experiencing some trouble with the voice texting on your Gabb Watch 3. It's great to see that you were able to reach out to our amazing Customer Support team to troubleshoot and get this feature working properly again.
For those who experience this error, follow these troubleshooting steps:
- Ensure your Gabb Watch 3 is logging into the Gabb ID:
- Voice texting will not work when the device is not logged into the Gabb ID
- Once logged back into the Gabb ID, power the device off for 30 seconds and back on
- App Update on the Gabb Watch 3:
- Connect Gabb Watch to WiFi by going to the settings app
- Open the ID app on the watch
- Tap Update App until the screen says "Apps are up to date!" You may need to tap the button multiple times. This may take several minutes to finish.
- Turn the watch off by holding down the power button for 4 seconds, select the power off icon on the watch screen, wait 15 seconds, then hold the power button for another 4 seconds to turn the watch back on.
- System Update on the Gabb Watch 3:
- Place watch on charger. Watch must be charged to at least 30% before updating
- Open the Check for Updates app
- Tap the update button. The watch will automatically restart when the update is done.
- Soft reset to the Gabb Watch 3:
- Hold the power button down for 4 seconds
- Select the power off icon on the watch screen
- Wait 15 seconds
- Hold the power button for another 4 seconds to turn the watch back on
- Hard reset (Factory Reset) on the Gabb Watch 3:
- On the MyGabb App: Unpair the watch
- Select the "Devices" tab
- Select "Profile" on the watch you need to unpair
- Scroll to the bottom of the profile and select "Remove Device"
- Select "Remove and Reset"On the Watch: Factory Reset the watch
- On the Watch: Factory Reset the watch
- Place the watch on the charger
- Press the back button (top right button) 10 times fast
- Select the checkmark on the watch
- The watch will power off, factory reset, then power back on when it’s finished
- Pair back to the watch
- On the MyGabb App: Unpair the watch
- Reset with Customer Support:

How do I get my kid to use speech ID

Hi, I recently purchased a Gabb 3e watch for my son. The voice-to-text function has a problem I could use help with. It works sometimes but not often. What it does is after pressing the black "mic" icon it properly turns red to listen, then after saying our bit pressing it again turns it back to black. All good so far. The spinning icon comes next yet when it's done spinning it comes back blank with nothing transcripted. How to fix?

my son keeps trying to use the voice to text and it stopped working. We’ve updated everything and still no luck. Also, the tracking won’t update for days. Kind of pointless to have gps tracking when it doesn’t even update his location. We’ve had his watch since April 2024 and have had to replace it 3 times already. This last round seems to be ok until recently when the texting stopped working and the location won’t update. According to the location my kid has been at school for 24 hrs.
