Gabb messenger - Message contents aren't showing up in conversations

My son is no longer able to see messages inside of conversations. Conversations still show in the app, but when he goes to view an individual conversation there's nothing there.. He's able to send texts and the notification bubble on the conversation shows that he's getting them.

This started happening today (10/24/24)

    Hi @bluejeana,

Thank you for this post! I'd be more than happy to add some troubleshooting steps to help resolve this:

    1. Resets to the Gabb Phone 4 Settings:
      1. Open Settings App -> System -> Reset Options -> Reset Wifi & Bluetooth
      2. Open Settings App -> System -> Reset Options -> Reset App Preferences -> Reset Apps
      3. Open Settings App -> System -> Reset Options -> RESET SETTINGS
    2. Reset to Gabb Messenger on Gabb Phone 4:
      1. Open Gabb Messenger -> Settings -> Troubleshooting -> Sync Settings

    Hope these troubleshooting steps help!

I've been having the many of the same issues and also emoji aren't showing up or very glitchy. I've gone through the steps and still having many issues. Can your team look into allowing for the emoji keyboard as it works with other apps instead of just Gabb Messenger.

    Hello @BluCrusher14,

Thank you for your comment and questions. We'd love to be able to look further into the errors your are experiencing to investigate what could be causing this to happen. Since the troubleshooting steps above did not resolve this, our Customer Support will be able to investigate this with you. Please reach out to them at your earliest convenience.

Concerning the emoji keyboard. We do not have plans to allow the standard unicode emoji set keyboard as we have created our own emoji keyboard. This is in place to eliminate potentially offensive or dangerous emojis you might find on a typical keyboard such as the middle finger emoji.

    Thank you for your questions!

I had that same problem a few days ago and had to do the reset that was suggested.

That seemed to solve the problem and I'm hoping that this isn't a regular reoccurring thing.

The only problem with doing these resets is that I have to re-enter my Wi-Fi passwords and I have to reset and reconnect my Samsung Watch to the Samsung Wear App. I also have to go and change my phone screen back to dark mode.
