Gabb Messenger and Spam Texts
Recently my son and I have been getting a lot of Political and other spam texts.
Thankfully Gabb Messenger puts it all into my "Requests" Tab so I can delete it.
I can count anywhere from 75 to 100 political spam messages in my Trash from the past month.
I have blocked all of these and put them in the trash.
It would be nice to have them just not show up.

Sorry to hear about those pesky spam text messages you are receiving on your Gabb Phone. We love to hear that the Contact Management in your Messenger Parent app is doing its job by not allowing those text to deliver to the Gabb Phone itself.
Your desire for those text to not be sent at all is valid! We have three troubleshooting steps that can help avoid this:
- Add your Gabb Phone number to the national do not call list at https://www.donotcall.gov
- Block the phone numbers from the Gabb Phone
- Change the assigned Gabb Phone number with Customer Support
It's not common but sometimes when we are assigned a number, they have spam from the previous owner who did not take care of their phone number. We have found switching the number can help take care of the issue.

Why am I receiving multiple calls, about 150-200+ a DAY!! THIS IS INSANE. I have so many calls on my call log that the phone acts slow. Plus I can't even delete the call logs! This is supposed to be an updated phone, 2nd best.PLEASE, I beg you, let me know how I can get some relief!

My 12 year old son is getting spam calls at least 4 times a day literally EVERY DAY! I went through and counted.... he's recieved as many as 8 spam calls in a day. This is absolutely ridiculous and I'm beyond frustrated. This is the 2nd "recycled" phone number gabb has given us for his phone due to the last number receiving excessive spam calls. Unfortunately, since switching to this new number, he's now getting even more spam calls. I reported this to customer service via a phone call and was told there is nothing that can be done aside from giving him yet another recycled number. I'm very disappointed. I was under the impression that the gabb phone would only allow approved numbers to call the phone. If that's not possible to do (which i thought i read that it was possible…or maybe it's only available through ios?) , then at least give my child a more secure phone number. This amount of spam calls to my son is just insane and potentially dangerous. Is there no fix for this other than changing his number once again or canceling our gabb service all together?

You mentioned in your post that will allow you to approved contacts to your device. This is correct! When enabling Contact Management through your Messenger Parent app, you con ensure only approved contacts can text or call your Gabb Phone. Will implementing the "parent approved contacts" stop unapproved numbers from calling my son's gabb phone? That is what I need help with, the incoming spam calls 4+ times a day. Will this solve that problem? If not, what options are there?

As stated above, yes! Contact Management ensure only approved contacts can text or call your Gabb Phone.
