Compatibility with Galaxy Fit 3 Fitness tracker
Hi, my son has a gabb phone 4 Pro. We bought him a Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 Fitness tracker watch. We downloaded Samsung wearable and Samsung Health apps, which are both approved apps on gabbs list. However, when we try to pair the watch to his phone, we get a message saying, "Action not allowed. Setting is not available." Is there a way we can change the setting to allow the action for him to be able to use his new Fitness tracker?
Thanks for any insight.

Hello @Ktpyper
Thank you for this post and for including a photo of the error you are receiving! The photo definitely helps to better understand. It looks like you are attempting to pair to the watch through the BlueTooth in the settings of the Gabb Phone. When pairing to this specific Samsung watch, the pairing happens inside the app itself. Here are the steps found on Google:
- Download the app: Ensure you have the "Galaxy Wearable" app installed on your phone from the app store.
- Turn on Bluetooth: Activate Bluetooth on your phone.
- Open the app: Launch the "Galaxy Wearable" app.
- Select your device: Choose your Galaxy Fit 3 from the list of available devices.
- Follow prompts: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.
Hope this helps!

Did you ever get that watch to work? We’re trying to find a fitness watch that will work now that Fitbit won’t sync because we need a login screen on a browser.

Also curious! I got my son that exact same watch for Christmas and am having the same issue. Did you get it resolved? I paired it thru the app and get the same message.

I came across this post before Christmas but i had hoped this had been resolved but I guess it had not. My wife and i purchased a Galaxy Fit 3 for my daughter for Christmas to go with her new Gabb Phone 4 Pro but we cannot get past the bluetooth pairing of the watch to the phone. The watch is just a fitness tracker so i dont know why Gabb would block it. The Samsung Wearable "Wear" app is an available app but without the watch being able to connect through it, its pointless. Gabb is so locked down, i dont even know what processes that it is blocking. I had purchased the Gabb phone for my daughter when she was younger but i am losing trust in them as they continue to falter in the technical development of a phone where a parent is in control of what their child is able to do on the phone. I thought the expanded app store was a step in the right direction but, if the apps will still not be functional even if they are downloaded, its pointless to have the expanded app store. If we cannot get this resolved, this may be the last straw that leads me to cancel my service with Gabb.

Fast forward 2 months, I finally had to just return the fitness tracker after speaking with multiple Gabb technical support technicians for probably a combine 3+ hours (includes hold time) and they escalated it to the development team. I was told that at this time, they are not willing to modify the permissions to be able to accommodate the internet connection required for the fitness tracker to pair with the phone. It's very unfortunate. I am all about keeping the phone perfectly safe for my 13 year old son, but there's got to be a better way. I've already come across so many instances of throwing out the baby with the bathwater here.

Ugh… I wish I would have seen this before I bought the Galaxy. So do we know which "Galaxy Wearable" IS compatible with the Gabb phone. I am assuming there is a use for this app… right? Or what's the point?
