Gabb Phone 4 Pro GPS Location feature not working
I found threads on phone 3 issues with the locate child feature, but none for 4 pro.
I have done all the steps outlined for the 3 phone, but it hasnt made the locate feature functional for us.
I continually get a 'device has no battery' error code. which is comical, but not useful.
Has anyone had this issue and gotten it corrected. This feature was definitely among the top reasons we went with gabb and its quite infuriating that it doesnt work as advertised…

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are experiencing with your Gabb Phone 4 Pro with the GPS Location. We know this is an important feature for the peace of mind of a parent and take this very seriously. Thank you for including the troubleshooting steps you have been able to do on your device, including:
- Update Firmware and Software on the Gabb Phone 4 Pro:
- Navigate to the
Knox E Fota
app and check for updates Google Play Store
app and tap the circle in the top right > Manage Apps and Devices > The second line should say "All apps up to date" or "Download/install updates."
- Navigate to the
- Reset Network Settings on Gabb Phone 4 Pro:
- Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset network settings
- Turn off Sleep or Deep Sleep Mode:
- Settings -> Battery -> Background usage limits -> Never auto sleeping apps -> plus (hit the plus icon) -> select MyGabb -> Hit add
- Unpair/pair back to the Gabb Phone 3 Pro:
- MyGabb app > Devices > Profile > Remove Device
- Open the Gabb ID app > Scan the QR code with your parent MyGabb app
Because the GPS Location is still not updating after following all troubleshooting steps, Customer Support will be able to continue working with you to further investigate this. We haven’t even had the phone a week. It will not stay synced so I can use the parent app, so I can’t track our daughter. Need help or I’m sending the phone back.
