I added my ex-wife as an authorized user, but what does that mean? She can’t access my daughter’s stuff unless she is on my account. Is there some way for her to have parent access as well?

Great question here! I'd be happy to help explain what an authorized user on your account means.
👉An account holder is the user with the name on the account and is the owner of the account. Account holders and authorized users have different permissions regarding account management when working with a Customer Support agent to troubleshoot or update account information. The account holder can facilitate ALL account management as long as they verify they are the name listed on the account and the security PIN.
👉An authorized user is added to the MyAccount by the account holder for management options. Authorized users can facilitate account management when working with a Customer Support agent as long as they are listed on the account as an authorized user and can verify the full name of the account holder and security PIN.
