My son used to have a Gabb phone 4. We were shocked to find that the new Gabb Phone 4 Pro didn't allow me to put music on his phone. Being able to create a playlist for him was a great bonding thing, so we were very disappointed that you can't put music on the new phone!

Thank you or this feedback! The ability to download music to the file app is no longer available due to risk of unapproved and inappropriate content being downloaded to devices.

Our team has worked hard to create a safe music environment through Gabb Music and Gabb Music+ to further protect all children through Gabb.

I do still disagree with the choice, and I think there are better ways to achieve your goal. I still hope that you restore the functionality.

First, unlike with the Internet, it's easy to monitor what your child puts on the file app. Presumably, if you have a Gabb phone, you're not letting your child have unmonitored Internet time. Therefore, the risk that he will put inappropriate content on his phone seems vanishingly small. He would have to buy a micro-SD card, access the Internet, download the inappropriate content, put it on the micro-SD card, and put the information on his phone. That seems hard to do without adult assistance. And with adult assistance, he could access inappropriate content anyway (for instance, he could simply buy a CD or access inappropriate content on the computer.)

Second, Gabb Music and Gabb Music+ don't really fill our needs. I would like to be able to allow him to read PDFs I select, which is not music. Also, since Gabb Music is "radio style," I can't select music for him, which is an important father-son bonding thing. I like being able to share my music with him.

Finally, I think that there are other ways to deal with the problem. For instance, just alert parents through the Gabb Parent app that the child has added files to his phone. That would solve the problem without making it impossible for parents to share files with their kids.

We have Gabb Music+ and want to download a few songs to my son's phone (Gabb Phone 4). Cannot figure out at all how to do it. No folders come up on the PC when we plug it in, and the Gabb does not show up in a device list on Windows Media Player. There is nothing at all on the Gabb Phone web site that explains how to do this, except to say that you can.
