my son’s Gabb watch 3 is stuck at the blue screen and won’t work. It won’t even let me reset using the 10 speed press. Also the watch is extremely hot and I am scared it will explode. It’s a new watch we just got it a month ago and I don’t understand what’s going on with it now?

    Hello again!

Great news! We have released an update to all Gabb Watch 3e devices as of today (10/25). This software update addresses several concerns including the blue loading screen on the Gabb Watch 3e.

To ensure your watch has received this software update, your device must still be paired to your MyGabb app. If you have unpaired from your watch and are not able to pair back to it due to the blue loading screen, the watch will not be able to receive the update.

To receive the most recent update, place the watch on the charger and give it time to receive and finish the update. If you do not see any change with the blue loading screen after 24 hours, please preform a factory reset to the device by following these steps:

    1. On the MyGabb App: Unpair the watch
      1. Select the "Devices" tab
      2. Select "Profile" on the watch you need to unpair
      3. Scroll to the bottom of the profile and select "Remove Device"
      4. Select "Remove and Reset"
    2. On the Watch: Factory Reset the watch
      1. Place the watch on the charger
      2. Press the back button (top right button) 10 times fast
      3. Select the checkmark on the watch
      4. The watch will power off, factory reset, then power back on when it’s finished
      5. Pair back to the watch

If your device does not respond to all these troubleshooting steps, further investigation by our Customer Support will be necessary to see if you qualify for a replacement Gabb Watch 3e. Customer Support can be contacted by chat at www.gabb.com, or by phone at 385.235.6646 Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m-6:30 p.m., MT or Saturday from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. MT.

    Thank you!

Has anyone found anything that works? I’m having the same issue and none of these suggestions worked. We bought this as a gift on June. It worked for a handful of wears before the watch no longer had cell service. After countless hours of back and forth with customer service for 6 weeks, it was replaced. We have had the replacement for less than 2 months (maybe 10 wears total) and now we are frozen on the blue start up screen. 😬

I’ve been dealing with the blue loading screen issue on my daughter’s Gabb Watch for over a week now. Initially, I was advised to remove the device, but that didn’t resolve the issue. After that, I was informed an update would be released to fix this problem, but I still haven’t received any follow-up.

At this point, I would have preferred a replacement watch since it’s been unusable. Could someone from support please reach out with an update or guidance on next steps? Thank you!

We have had this same issue. The watch gets stuck on the blue loading screen until it either runs out of battery or overheats. Over and over. Curiously this only happened after the software update. I unpaired it from the App in the hopes of doing a reset but can’t get past the blue screen.
I spent far too much time online with customer support trying to reset with the quick clicks to no avail.
A replacement charger was sent to troubleshoot despite this not being the issue- it was charging fine, just not progressing past the blue screen.

Finally I reached out again to see about next steps and was told the watch was broken and would not be replaced. To be fully transparent there are cracks in the screen HOWEVER the watch had been functioning fine like that for months. I tried to explain this but was shut down quickly. We are half way through a 2 year contract and are being told we have to pay $149 for a replacement device. The Black Friday deals don’t apply- new lines only.

I’m pretty frustrated and disappointed. I would accept responsibility if the watch truly stopped working because it was broken on our end. But this is simply not the case.

    Hi @TAbraham,

Thank you for your comment and expressing your frustration with this situation. We would be happy to help further clarify why damage to the Gabb Watch 3 would cause you to no qualify for a Manufacture Warranty.

Any damage to the device such as cracks, scratches, chips or water damage, voids the warranty that the manufacturer of the watches puts into place. We understand that the damage to the device is not the root cause of the error happening to the software. Unfortunately, we are unable to move forward with a Manufacturer Warranty replacement if it does not meet the manufacturers requirements.

We hope this helps clarify the situation. Thank you!
