Apps that require Google login
My daughter plays the game spelling/word game Wordscapes and has an account that we created when we purchased the app with the "no ads" feature. When we tried logging into that account on her new Gabb 4 Pro phone, it wouldn't allow the login because they don't have their own username and password feature - only login with Facebook or Google.
Is there any way to login with Google on apps that require login with Google rather than their own username? When researching this, I saw that this was an issue with the FitBit app, also. I'm sure there are more.
My main Issue with this is that we paid to have no ads to limit her exposure to ads, but now the only way she can play is with their free version that's flooded with ads. This seems to go against part of what Gabb stands for so I'd love for Gabb to find a workaround for this issue.

Many others are causing issues because of this too. Remind us a problem too. Very frustrating since I specifically bought a pro phone for my 15 year old because of the options for parent approved apps to be utilized.

I had the same issue trying to log into the "Hallow" app on the Gabb Pro 4. Since the paid Hallow account was created with a gmail the app requires you to log in using Google which we couldn't do. Help please

Hello all!
Thank you for this post and comments to help bring light to this question and concern regarding Google login for parent approved apps for the Gabb Phone 3 Pro and Gabb Phone 4 Pro. As you all know, our goal is to keep the Gabb user safe from internet and social media. We do all we can to accomplish this by blocking access to the internet. This includes Google logins that link the user to the internet.
If the app does not allow for you to log into the app through a different route (i.e. PIN number sent via text to a non Gabb Phone) the developer of the app would need to be contacted. Please note that the parent approved apps are 3rd party apps that we do not have control over. By contacting their support, the user can ask if they have a different form of login available for non-internet users.
Addressing concerns with In-App purchases. We do have a troubleshooting step that can:
- Using a parent phone, create an account in the desired app and add all the necessary information.
- Log out of the newly created account on the parent phone.
- Log into the account on the Gabb device.
From there, your Gabb device should have access to the In-App purchases.
Hope this helps!

One way to circumvent most of the ads, at least in Crossword Jam, a similar app to Wordscapes, is to play without connecting to the internet. To accept the coins for daily rewards or update your place in the competitions, you must turn it back on periodically. An ad or two pop up, but they’re shorter and often freeze or black out the content of the ad. It's not ideal, but it's what I do.
