Let parents choose what music our child can listen to in Gabb Music

Hi Gabb. We're really enjoying Gabb Music+

Please allow us parents control on what music and content can be accessed by our children on the app. We need to be able to "whitelist" music. I understand that the music is curated and free of explicit material, but we'd like to be able to determine what they can listen to. Thanks.

I would also like to be able to set time limits for the music app.

I agree! There are lyrics that may not curse, but are still just as damaging by the image that they glorify and implant in our youth. As a parent, I would like the ability to regulate and eliminate that from my teenager's phone.

Please change it to where we can curate the music ourselves, as parents! Being able to add music like we can contacts would be nice!

Otherwise, I had to downgrade our plan (which eliminates other features that we would like to have) just to get rid of music altogether.

It would be great to have customizable filtering settings for Gabb Music. While most of the music on the platform is already pretty clean, we all have different standards, so being able to personalize filters (block specific words or themes) would be very useful.

At this time, we do not have any update on if or when this feature would be implemented. We will make sure this post is updated with any new information.

Yes please. We were about to upgrade phone and plan so that we could allow our child to have broader app access, however that it comes with gabb music that we can't control, makes it so that we can't do the upgrade plan to use the apps. We don't feel comfortable giving our child open access to music we can't approve or curate ourselves. Do I understand correctly that with the Gabb 4 pro the plan that provides app access automatically has gabb music? So we can't even remove it like it was an app? Thanks

I felt like this was implied when I did my research and now I feel baited that I cannot block specific artists, etc.

Clearly it turns out that this is not the case. I'm very disappointed that with everything else so well thought out there is this glaring omission. I hope this is something that is addressed in the coming year before I start making decisions for the rest of the kids.

Parental Controls: Gabb devices, including Gabb phones, have built-in parental controls that allow parents to:
- Set time limits for music listening
- Limit access to certain features or content
- Monitor their child’s music listening history

Spotify has an explicit filter. For Gabb music to be a superior option for offering a safer music listening experience for kids/teens it needs more parental control options. The homescreen of the app shows far more explicit songs and artists than our families Spotify account. Spotify shows a catered splash screen so it only shows our trusted artists. Just because popular culture says Sabrina Carpenter is the “hottest” artist right now, I don’t need her and similar artists to be the first thing my child sees when they open the Gabb Music app.
