Deleted Text Messages?

My child is able to delete text messages on her phone even though the setting is set to not delete anything/ever. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi @490josh,

    Great question here! Sorry you are having some trouble with the message deletion settings. Here are some troubleshooting steps to try to get that working properly:

    1. Update Gabb Messenger Parent app:
      1. Ensure your Gabb Messenger Parent app is on the most recent update through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
    2. Log into Gabb ID on the Gabb Phone:
      1. Log into the Gabb ID on the Gabb Phone using the childs login credentials.
      2. This should be a different login than the parent MyGabb login.
    3. Connect Gabb Phone to Wi-Fi:
      1. Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi.
    4. Refresh the message deletion settings:
      1. Login to the Gabb Messenger Parent app from the parent’s smartphone > Select Controls at the bottom of the screen > Select the profile of the child you want to add controls to > Select Deleting Settings > Select the radio button next to the deletion setting you want.
      2. To troubleshoot, select one of the other options > wait 30 seconds > switch back to desired setting.
    5. Sync Settings on child’s device:
      1. Settings will automatically sync every 4 hours if the child is logged into Gabb ID.
      2. To expedite and sync in real-time, you can go to Settings>Troubleshooting>Sync Settings in Gabb Messenger.
