Adding a Guardian Contact

I need help adding additional guardians. Want to add my husband so my child can contact him anytime also but the email from Gabb doesn’t send to him. It just says pending beside his name. Checked all his email folders and email isn’t there . But if I take him off as a guardian, he gets an email telling him he’s been taken off. Can’t get the email to accept. What do I do??

Edit to post: With the new update to the MyGabb App, the steps to add a Guardian Contact have changed. The new steps are included in my comment posted below on April 9th.

Great question! So happy to see you were able to reach out to our Customer Support team to help get this resolved. If the desired contact is not receiving the necessary email to add them as a guardian contact, our team is able to do some troubleshooting on their end to help get that email sent.

For those experiencing this same error and found this post, try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Ensure the Guardian Contact has checked their Spam and Junk mail folders for the email.
2. Your Guardian Contact can log into their MyGabb app using the login email and password of the Primary Contact. This will grant them access to the location of the device that the Guardian would have.
3. Contact Customer Support by Live-Chat through www.gabb.com, or by phone call at 385.235.6646 Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m-6:30 p.m., MT or Saturday from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. MT.

Is the primary contact considered a guardian? This is a big miss by Gabb. It would be good for multiple parents/guardians to be able to see kids' locations. I sincerly hope this is updated in a future release.

The Primary Contact is not considered a Guardian Contact. The Primary Contact is the account holder and does not need to be added a separate time as a Guardian. Guardian Contacts are able to access the location of the Gabb Watch by being assigned as a Guardian or logging into the MyGabb app with the Primary Contacts login credentials.

i set up my grandson’s watch and set up several contacts as guardians. They have not received the email from Gabb and are still pending. This process should be quicker.

The instructions say to input and email to add a guardian yet there's nowhere to put an email in the app…. how are they suppose to get the invite email?

Great question! As of April 1st, the MyGabb app received a new update causing these steps to change. To ensure your MyGabb app is on the most recent update, check out the New MyGabb App Update🎉 post👈

Here are the new steps to adding a Guardian Contact for a Gabb Watch 3e:

1. Open the MyGabb App
2. Select Manage Devices
3. Select the watch profile
4. Select contacts
5. Select the plus sign at the bottom right hand side of the screen
6. Enter the contacts information
7. Ensure you toggle on guardian contact (showing blue) before saving
8. The person they make a guardian will get an invite via text
