Do I have to pay a termination fee?

My Gabb phone is broken. My intention was to purchase a Gabb 3 Phone, cancel the current plan which is in the 8th month on a two year contract. I have called and used live chat, asked this question and have gotten two different answers. The phone conversation said I would need to pay the termination fee, and the live chat said I would not have to pay the termination fee if I was going to start a new plan.

    Sorry to hear about your broken device. Happy to hear you are looking to upgrade to the Gabb Phone 3 Pro. Good question concerning the process with the contract on that line. I would recommend Upgrading your line instead of canceling your current contract and buying a new line. By Upgrading, you have the option to renew your current contract and avoid an Early Termination Fee when canceling. This will also allow you to keep the same phone number with the new phone. You can Upgrade your line by following these steps:

    1. On a computer, sign in to your Gabb Account at
    2. Click on Upgrade Device the left hand side
    3. Choose device you're wanting to upgrade
    4. Go through normal checkout process
