Hello!

We are trying to connect our Gabb Watch 3 to the wifi at our vacation house to make sure it's up to date before heading out to explore tomorrow. The wifi doesn't have a password, and the connect button stays grayed out without us typing in a password.

Is there still a

way to connect?

    Hello @chickahorse,

Thank you for this post and your question! We would to help answer this. For safety reasons, our Gabb Watch 3s need to connect to a WiFi network that has at an 8 character password. If the WiFi does not have a password, the device will not be able to connect. To connect your device to WiFi successfully, please ensure the WiFi is password protected.

Please also ensure your Gabb Watch 3 is on the most recent update by following these steps:

    • Update Software on the Gabb Watch 3:
      • Connect Gabb Watch to WiFi by going to the settings app
      • Open the ID app on the watch
      • Tap Update App until the screen says "Apps are up to date!" You may need to tap the button multiple times.
      • This may take several minutes to finish.
      • Turn the watch off by holding down the power button for 4 seconds, select the power off icon on the watch screen, wait 15 seconds, then hold the power button for another 4 seconds to turn the watch back on.
    • Update the Firmware on the Gabb Watch 3:
      • Place watch on charger. Watch must be charged to at least 30% before updating
      • Open the Check for Updates app
      • Tap the update button. The watch will automatically restart when the update is done.

    Thank you!
