Great question! Phone data such as contacts, photos, etc. are saved in the Gabb Cloud. To ensure all information is saved properly, follow these steps:
First: While the old Gabb Phone is still active (before activating the new phone):

Second: Activate the new Gabb Phone 4 Pro:

👆🏼this needs to be in the instructions for all setup, nobody is telling you to backup first.
I am trying to switch all of my files onto my new gabb phone 4 pro and I was backing up my gabb phone so I can sign out of the gabb ID on it and I would go to restore it and then it would pause at a random number and not continue. It has been doing this for the past 1 hour and I have tried restarting a bunch of times and re trying it hasn't worked. What do I do?

help! I accidentally deactivated my old one before backing up onto my external hard drive. Now I can’t access/update anything

Great question! The device will need to be active to complete the backup to your hard drive. You can get in contact with our Customer Support team to temporarily activate the device for the back up, then activate the new device again once finished.
