Can Gabb update the Lichess app for the Gabb phone 4?

Question

I was very pleased when I saw that my son's Gabb phone 4 could download the Lichess app. Recently, the app has repeatedly stated that it needed to be updated because the old version (The one available for the Gabb phone 4) was being depreciated and most features will no longer function. I can already see this happening because the app lost the ability to join chess tournaments (Claiming that it failed to fetch). If you could just make the new version avilible to download that would be terrific.

Hi @GabbUser12,

Thank you for this post and expressing your concern about the Lichess app.

Our Engineering team has taken a look into this and found that the Lichess app is being completely rebuilt by their developers. This is different than the current app just receiving an update that can be downloaded to the app.

Our Engineering team is going to do further investigation to see what can be done. This post will be updated when we hear more information.

Thank you!
